Darjeeling Choice Estate from the Mim Garden

This year the great tea people from Mighty leaf have chosen the Darjeeling Choice Estate first flush Darjeeling tea leaves from the venerable Mim estate. These silver tipped tea leaves yields a fruity and floral flavor resulting in an aromatic and memorable cup. Picked in the spring from a 140-year-old garden, the farm is tucked away in the mountain folds of India's Darjeeling region.

Guarded by the regal peaks of Kunchanjunga and shrouded in mist, the legend behind the name of this estate was derived from Mim Sahib, who secretly buried her husband when he passed away due to an unexpected illness and boldly supervised the operations of the plantation after his demise. Out of respect and love for her, the people named the plantation Mim Kaman which, in the Sherpa tongue means, "a garden run by the lady."
