The artists of Original T-Bag Designs live near Cape Town, South Africa in an informal settlement. The women use recycled tea bags as canvases for their art. The children remove the tea methodically! Each tea bag is lovingly painted for the money earned is a vital part of family income. Nomsa is the proprietor of this small business collective. With the added money she earned painting tea bags, she moved from a slum-shack to a house. She says the most wonderful thing in the world is hearing the rain on the roof and knowing her children are warm and dry. This project supports over 80 families at this time. Handmade no two alike.
