"DRINK YOUR TEA SLOWLY AND REVERENTLY AS IF IT IS THE AXIS ON WHICH THE WORLD EARTH REVOLVES-SLOWLY,EVENLY, WITHOUT RUSHING TOWARD THE FUTURE." Thich Nhat Hanh

Per Capita, Irish consumption of tea is amongst the highest in the world. The Irish prefer a full bodied cup of tea that if steeped long enough one could almost stand the spoon upright. GOT MILK? There is an age old argument of when to add the milk to the cup; before you add the tea or after. Milk-Firsters argue that adding milk last scalds the milk noticeably and therefore the milk should be warmed slowly with the addition of tea. Milk-Lasters argue that adding milk after the tea has been poured in the only way of judging the proper amount of milk to add by watching the color of the tea change. Non Milkers think the argument is rather silly!

Product Description

A Superb color and very full bodied Tea. Excellent in the early a.m. or p.m. A true sign you are Irish or of Irish descent. 2 oz makes 20-25 Cups of this Tea. The Irish tend to like their Tea CTC or cut, torn, curled. The green leaf while being processed is passed through a machine the literally cuts, tears and then curls the leaves into tiny balls. This "mash" ferments very quickly after which firing takes place to lock in the flavor. These tiny tea balls when infused release their full flavor. 2 ounces makes 20-30 cups of tea. Steep 3-7 minutes or to taste. You are the expert! Ever wondered why the Irish consume so much Tea? One theory is based on a long standing folk belief in some counties that drinking tea will make them lucky. Another theory is linked to a belief held in some rural communities that the scent of freshly steeped tea will keep away evil Leprechauns; the mischievous and perpetually inebriated variety. Most likely however, the reasons that have the Irish coming back cup after cup an average of four times daily is simple: TEA TASTES GREAT and it ENERGIZES the SPIRIT of the EMERALD ISLE.
